In December, Assistant Secretary-General Ayse Cihan Sultanoglu, the Director of the UNDP Regional Bureau for Europe and the Commonwealth of Independent States, visited Tajikistan and had a chance to listen first hand to the progress of the Tajikistan Mine Action Centre.

Mrs. Sultanoglu's visit to Tajikistan included meetings with the President of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, as well as other high-level government officials and diplomatic representatives.
