15.09.2012

The Geneva International Centre for Humanitarian De-mining (GICHD) and the Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) have organized the Administrator Level 1 Regional training course at the Goygol ANAMA regional base in Azerbaijan from 22nd August to 2nd of September 2012.

The Information Management (IM) personnel from the Tajikistan Mine Action Centre (TMAC), the Swiss Foundation for Mine Action in Tajikistan (FSD) and the Union of the Sappers of Tajikistan were invited to participate in the training course. This training aimed at gathering highly experienced staff from various country programmes in order to build capacity in mine action countries to make use of the advanced functionalities of IMSMA NG software and to enhance Information Management within Mine Action programmes.

Information Management personnel from the Tajikistan Mine Action Programme were able familiarize with the IMSMA NG software and had a chance to meet and discuss the IM issues with colleagues from other programmes and countries. As the programme is in the stage of transfer to full national ownership, capacitis in information management need to be shared ob different levels of the mine action programme.
