03.03.2012

In the beginning of March 2012, Mr. LUI H HALIL RADOGOSHI - the GICHD Systems Support Officer has visited TMAC for a week to help and support the program in term of information management system and particularly the issues related to transition from IMSMA Legacy into IMSMA NG.

During the visit GICHD Systems Support Officer was able to check the existing IMSMA forms and operations templates that revised based on the country specific requirements and advise on specific technical issues.  In addition the latest IMSMA NG version was installed in TMAC with the purpose of making it operational version in the coming months. The detailed IMSMA NG implementation plan has been drafted and approved by both TMAC and the GICHD representative. This plan will help the program to make a smooth transition.

In addition, TMAC IMSMA Officer was invited to attend the Information Management System for Mine Action (IMSMA) New Generation training course in April 2012 in Sweden. The course will help the program to use the system in more efficient and effective manner.
