Name: Zayniddin RASULOV                                                         Age:23                                                                                                         From: Saghirdasht, Darvoz District                                                            Date of Accident.3.10.2001

The 23-year-old Zayniddin RASULOV is a landmine victim from jamoat Sagirdasht in Darvoz district.  He was injured in 2001 by a landmine explosion when he was grazing livestock.  As the result of this accident, his right hand was amputated and he suffered from numerous injuries to his legs and face. He also suffered from severe Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and until now, small fragments of mine are in his legs and even his face.

He is currently a 4th year student of journalism at the Tajik National State University. He remains one of the most proactive landmine survivors in the country.  He participated in the Summer Camp organized by TMAC and RCST in 2006 and in several meetings of Victim Assistance Working Group.  His goal is to organize the “Association of Landmine Victims in Tajikistan” in order to help and support his fellow landmine survivors.  If you would like to help Zayniddin, please see his plea for your consideration.
